These terms describe how you may use The Well Drilling Guide. They are a plain-language notice, not legal advice.
What this site is
This is an educational publisher and source-record directory for US homeowners considering a private water well. It publishes guidance, a cost calculator, a printable comparison worksheet and separate licence-holder, business-source, registration, certificate and employer/location observations. Some records concern pump installation or monitoring wells rather than water well drilling. Public quote requests are currently unavailable. The publisher does not perform drilling, sell equipment or test water.
Permitted use and content ownership
You may read, print and save our educational content for personal, non-commercial use. The content, layout and design are owned by the site or its licensors; please do not republish substantial portions without permission.
Educational information, not site-specific professional advice
Our guidance is general education, not engineering, hydrogeology, construction, water-quality, insurance or legal advice for your property. Nothing here guarantees that drilling on your property will succeed, reach any depth, meet a price or produce safe water; rely on qualified local professionals and the applicable authorities.
Directory listings
Listings preserve distinct source observations, including when names or phones are shared or one number appears under different business names or locations. Texas listings show individual public license records and their official retrieval date. Other jurisdictions show the supplied roster edition when identified and the date the directory file was received; that received date is not a fresh agency verification. Indiana employer records may list an address in another state. North Carolina certificate observations with supplied employer or status labels omit individual names and do not establish company licenses. Oklahoma's supplied roster is historical, from 2013. Records do not establish a verified drilling-company identity, ownership, service area, current authorization or participation in quote requests. Any evidence-backed company association is separately identified. A listing is not an endorsement or guarantee, and records can be out of date. Confirm who would enter your contract, their licenses and insurance, and coverage of your property before hiring. See how listings work.
Quote requests
The public site does not currently collect or route quote requests. If a quote service opens later, its consent wording, recipients, data handling and terms will be shown before you submit. A directory listing alone does not authorize us to forward requests to the license holder. Any agreement for drilling work is between you and the company you hire; the publisher does not perform, supervise or guarantee its work, prices or schedule.
Accuracy and corrections
We aim for accuracy and disclose our source limitations in the editorial policy. See the contact page for how to reach us. The privacy notice explains how personal information is handled.
Sources & claim context
Citations mark where guidance is grounded. They are general resources dated on retrieval, not guarantees for any property, project, price, licensure, permit or yield. No expert, attorney or reviewer signoff is claimed by this site.
First-party implementation evidence: browser-local tools; distinct licence, registration, certificate and employer/location source observations across 15 source jurisdictions, including 866 Texas individual records; two Texas company affiliations evidenced separately; no participating companies; public quote requests disabled; owner-provided working contact on 2026-10-11.
Claims are grounded in the dated source notes above; project-specific price, yield, licensure and permit answers require site-specific and local verification.
